Home Show Season is Here Again!

It’s all over the news that home values are beginning to rise, new home permits are increasing, builders are building again, and remodel activity is booming. Many homes are more affordable now than 5 years ago as mortgage rates are at historical lows. All favorable signs that many of us should be ready to move on in our lives and either buy new spaces or improve the ones we live in now. 

Finding the best ideas to customize your own castle, improve living space or create a secret garden can be found at the home and garden shows coming up in the next couple of months. The first show is the dazzling Yard Garden and Patio show in Portland that is put on by the Oregon Association of Nurseries.Great food and beautiful outdoor living spaces go hand-in-hand. And when spring finally arrives in the Northwest, there is no better way to shake off the winter blues than enjoying good food and friends in a beautiful setting. Kick start your spring by visiting the Mutual Materials' cooking demonstration area at the show which features our architectural slabs, pavers, and wall. The show runs February 8-10th; 10:00 am - 7:30 Friday-Saturday and 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Sunday at the Oregon Convention Center.

The next show is the Seattle Home Show, which runs February 16th - 24th.The Seattle Home Show is the Northwest’s largest consumer home show with everything for the home – indoors and out. Mutual Materials will be showcasing outdoor fireplaces, our newest pavers, and great project ideas to enhance any space. The Seattle Home Show is at the CenturyLink Event Center next to CenturyLink Field.

Following the Seattle Home Show is the second-largest garden show in the country, the Northwest Flower and Garden show. Your gardening desires will blossom when you gaze at the spectacular show gardens created by the most respected garden designers and landscapers of the region. Six acres of creative display gardens are brimming with ideas that will get your garden ideas blossoming. No matter your style or needs, you’ll find inspiration for outdoor living, edible gardening, sustainability, and more. The show gardens are also great places to view some of Mutual Materials products in full display. The Northwest Flower and Garden Show is February 20 - 24 at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center.

Finally, Spokane's 35th Annual Home & Yard Show features hundreds of displays and demonstrations offering the latest in home and yard related products, services and improvements! Please see the show and visit the Mutual Materials booth February 28th – March 3rd.  You will see all the best and newest hardscape and masonry products.

The home show season is reminder that Winter is coming to an end and it’s time to start thinking about getting your home and yard ready for the months ahead. We are proud to be involved in all of these shows around the Northwest and hope to see you there.
