Global cement production was 3.5 billion tons in 2012, which released over 2.3 billion tons of CO2 into our atmosphere through combustion and calcination.
CarbonCure technology uses recycled carbon dioxide (CO2) to improve the compressive strength of concrete. The CO2 is collected from our smokestacks and injected into our concrete, where it becomes chemically converted into a solid mineral. CarbonCure makes our concrete masonry units (CMU) stronger, and greener.
