This urban installation in Ballard, Washington showcases the use of permeable hardscape solutions in a high-density residential setting. Than Cong completed the work on this project using Mutual Materials Eco Priora pavers and complementary masonry products to support site drainage and layout continuity.
The drive lanes and walkways between the housing units are constructed using Eco Priora, a permeable interlocking concrete paver system designed to meet stormwater management requirements while maintaining a traditional paver look. Vancouver Bay slabs were also installed in specific walkways to add variation in texture and design, while continuing to function as permeable surfaces.
Steps and retaining features throughout the space were built using Manorstone®, with Coping Units placed as treads and caps for a polished finish. The result is a clean, durable, and stormwater-conscious design that supports both function and curb appeal in a shared residential setting.
