All around us buildings are popping up; the results of the economic boom our region is experiencing. We are seeing new schools, hospitals, office complexes, condominiums, and houses sprout before our eyes. In many of these projects, the architect is quick to get kudos for their vision and ingenuity. But oftentimes, while the architect gets praise, the mason contractor doesn’t get the public credit for turning the architect’s vision into a reality.
That is why we at Mutual Materials think it is important for those in our industry to participate in the Masonry Institute of Washington’s (MIW) 2016 Excellence in Masonry Design Awards. These awards celebrate the best in masonry designs in Washington State and represent the finest standards in masonry design, innovation, structural performance, and overall masonry integration with the client and surrounding community. This is a great opportunity for your firm to showcase their projects and gain recognition from their industry peers.
The Awards ceremony is November 9th, at the Rainier Club in Seattle and will include a presentation from International Architects of Miami. Award submissions are being accepted until August 5th and will be judged by Chicago A/E/C industry.
