Chuck’s Produce and Street Market is an independent family-owned market catering to the people of the Vancouver, Washington area. Committed to offering fresh and local products, Chuck’s Produce and Street Market places emphasis on offering organic goods in a healthy, family-oriented environment.
When Chuck’s decided to open a second location, they wanted to implement practices aligned with their company motto, “You never go wrong doing the right thing.” With an adjacent Critical Aquifer Recharge Area that discharges storm water to a nearby fish-bearing stream, Chuck’s Produce knew contributing to a greener environment by using an interlocking permeable pavement system was in alignment with offering organic products.
With the help of Eastern States Paving, Lenity Architects (Architect/Landscape Architect), AKS Engineering, and Colson & Colson (General Contractor) collaborated to install almost 29,000 square feet of permeable interlocking concrete pavers in parking stalls and sidewalks at Chuck’s Produce and Market.
